On 8/20/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Chad Anthony Fields (177 Bart Greene Rd. #82, 36 years old) and charged him with theft over $1,000. Fields was taken into custody on an arrest warrant filed on him back in June 2014.
The arrest came as the result of an investigation that began in June, on the theft of heating and air equipment from a North Johnson City apartment complex where Fields resided. Mr. Fields was seen dragging the equipment through the complex by other tenants and some property was recovered by the owner. A warrant was obtained charging Fields with theft over $1,000 at that time and placed on file after Fields could not be located.
Fields was placed under arrest after a transfer from Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 9:00 a.m. on 8/21/14 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
