On 7/30/14, officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Connie Elizabeth Andes (200 E. Watauga Ave #4, Johnson City, 50 years old) and charged her with 4 counts of obtaining narcotics by fraud, 3 counts of forgery and theft of property under $500.00.
The arrest is the result of an investigation into a reported theft of a prescription pad from a doctor’s office in Johnson City. The stolen prescription pad was used by Andes to write her own prescriptions for two different controlled substances. Andes also received refills on the controlled substances. The doctor’s name on the prescriptions was also forged before they were taken to several local pharmacies to be filled.
On 7/30/14, officers located Connie Elizabeth Andes and transported her to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $44,000 bond. A preliminary court date has been set in Washington County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. on 7/31/14.
