On 02/15/14, at approximately 7:20 pm, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Ronald Collins, 38 years old, general delivery, for a schedule II drug violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
Officers were dispatched to the area of E. Unaka Ave. and Roosevelt St. in reference to a suspicious subject in the area. Upon arrival officers made contact with Ronald Collins who became extremely agitated and apprehensive toward the officers. He also appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and/or alcohol. Mr. Collins was placed under arrest and a search of his person revealed syringes and a substance believed to be a liquid form of methamphetamine.
Mr. Collins was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $3,500 bond. An arraignment is set for 02/17/14, at 9:00 a.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
