On 2/11/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Genavive Garner Stubblefield (2421 Huffine Circle, Johnson City TN., 26 years old) charging her with child abuse and neglect.
On 1/26/14, an investigation was initiated by the Johnson City Police Department and the Department of Children's Services following the report of a physical assault against a five (5) year old female. The investigation revealed that the child had a contusion on her buttock in the shape of what appeared to be teeth marks. The child disclosed that her mother, Genavive Garner Stubblefield, had become angry with her and bit her buttock. Mrs. Stubblefield admitted to Child Protective Services that she had in fact assaulted the child as described as a means of discipline. Genavive Garner Stubblefield is charged with one count of felony child abuse neglect (based on the age of the child).
On 2/11/14, Stubblefield turned herself in at the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 9:00 a.m. on 2/13/14 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
