Johnson City Police Department arrested Nathaniel Fields (24 years of age) of 212 Cash Hollow Rd. Elizabethton TN 37643 and charged him with one count of Theft of Property over $1000.
On 07/25/2018, report of a stolen vehicle was made at 1402 E Watauga Ave. The victim stated she looked out of her back window and observed her Honda Accord being driven away. She could not identify the subject due to them being out at a distance. Shortly after entering the vehicle stolen and advising the surrounding jurisdictions, Carter County Sheriff’s Office observed the vehicle on Watauga Rd. A pursuit occurred with their jurisdiction which led to suspect Nathaniel Fields wrecking the Honda into a ditch. Due to the crash being close to Johnson City I met with CCSO. I identified the driver as Nathaniel Fields. CCSO had current charges on him so I obtained a warrant for Theft of Property over 1,000 on 07/25/2018. On this date, 10/30/2020, Nathaniel Fields was at Washington County Detention Center for other charges. He was attempting to bond out so Johnson City Officers served the warrant at WCDC.
Nathaniel Fields is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30p.m. on 11/2/2020 in Washington County General Sessions.
