On 10/02/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Scott Reed (2603 Plymouth Road 49 years of age) and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
At approximately 09:56 a.m on October 2, 2020, officers responded to an aggravated assault at 1112 King Springs Road # 25. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who had a laceration to his head. The victim advised the suspect, Scott Reed, came to his apartment in search of his girlfriend. Upon being informed that she was not present, an altercation ensued. Reed picked up a broom from outside the apartment and struck the victim in the face causing injuries. Officers made contact with a witness who was in the apartment at the time of the incident who corroborated the victim’s account of events. The victim was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Police located Scott Reed on Tampa Court where he was placed under arrest. Drug paraphernalia was located on his person during a pat down. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Bond was set at $25,000 and arraignment set for 9:00 a.m. on 10/05/20 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
