On 7/21/2020, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Ralph Shivery (749 N Austin Springs Rd Piney Flats, TN 37686, 26 years old) and charged him with simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
At approximately 8:55 p.m, officers were at 1908 E Unaka Ave. investigating an unrelated incident when a white male there on the premises was recognized as a suspect in another crime. The subject was identified as Shivery, and he was placed in custody. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that he was in possession of a handgun, a small amount of marijuana, and a glass pipe. A background check showed that Shivery is a convicted felon with various felony charges prior to this date.
Shivery was placed under arrest and transported to Washington County Detention Center, where he was held on a $12,000 bond. Arraignment is set for at 1:30 p.m. on 7/21/2020 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
