On 6/14/2020, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested David S. Swan (2805 W. Walnut St. #22, 63 years old) and charged him with Aggravated Assault.
At approximately 3:20 P.M. officers responded to the Johnson City Medical Center at 400 N. State of Franklin Rd. in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with a security officer along with Mr. Swan along the sidewalk of the hospital. An investigation revealed the security officer had asked Mr. Swan to leave the property due to the current visitation restrictions of the facility. Mr. Swan became agitated with the security officer as he was speaking with 911 Dispatch and attempted to strike him with his cane he had in his possession.
Mr. Swan was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond. Arraignment is scheduled for 6/15/2020 at 1:30 P.M. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
