On 4/19/20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kacei E. Pierce (125 Bayless Rd, 27 years old) and charged her with burglary and shoplifting.
On 4/19/20 at approximately 6:09 p.m., officers responded to 3111 Browns Mill Rd., Walmart Department Store, in reference to a shoplifting. During the course of the investigation the suspect, later identified as Kacei Pierce, was observed concealing merchandise inside other items of merchandise. Pierce was then observed concealing smaller items inside her pocketbook. Pierce also switched tags between different items of merchandise. Pierce passed all points of sale and was stopped by officers and loss prevention. During the course of the investigation it was determined that Pierce had been trespassed by Walmart on 3/19/20.
Pierce was then placed under arrest and was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Pierce was charged with one count of burglary and one count of shoplifting. Pierce is being held in lieu of a $2,000 bond with arraignment set for 4/20/20 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
