On 12/12/19, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Christopher Lee Michaels (1112 King Springs Rd, 30 years old) and charged him with auto burglary and theft under $1,000.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation of an auto burglary that occurred at 105 S Boone St (First Presbyterian Church) on 11/17/19. The victim was attending a meeting at the church. When the victim returned to his vehicle, he found someone had entered it and stolen multiple items. During the course of the investigation, Christopher Michaels was developed as a suspect.
Michaels was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 12/13/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
