SUBJECT: Aggravated Burglary DATE: 12/9/19 TIME: 2:00 p.m.

On 12/9/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Eric Gunn (144 Carrville Ave., 26 years old) and charged him with one count of aggravated burglary, one count of burglary of motor vehicle, and two counts of theft under $1,000.
At approximately 9:20 a.m. officers responded to the 300 block of Lynn Rd. in reference to a subject that was wanted by Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Once on scene officers observed Mr. Gunn exiting a Jeep Grand Cherokee that belonged to a nearby resident. Mr. Gunn fled on foot as officers arrived. While searching the area officers were notified that Mr. Gunn had entered a nearby garage in an attempt to steal some items.
A short time later police located Mr. Gunn in a barn at 2503 Indian Ridge Rd. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 12/10/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
