On 12/24/13, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jennifer Celeste Harris (117 Highland Rd. Jonesborough, 24 years old) and charged her with Identity Theft (4cts), Forgery over $1,000.00 (3 cts), Theft of Property over $1,000.00 (3cts), Forgery under $500.00 (4cts), and Theft of Property under $500.00 (12cts), Aggravated Burglary, and Theft of Property over $500.00 (2cts).
The arrest is the result of an investigation to several reports that were filed by the victim, who stated that Jennifer Harris had completed several loan applications using her personal information and forged and passed several of her personal checks in the Johnson City area. A separate report was also filed by a separate victim who stated that Ms. Harris had broken into her residence and stole jewelry and a credit card.
Police located Jennifer Harris at 2560 Milburton Rd. Limestone, TN and placed under arrest. Ms. Harris was transported to Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $131,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 9:00 a.m. on 12/26/13 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
