On 11/27/19 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested James Wishon (General Delivery, 36 years old) and charged him with Motor Vehicle Theft over $2,500, six counts of Vandalism Over $2,500, Vandalism Over $1,000, three counts of Theft Under $1,000, and two counts of Forgery.

On 08/08/19 the owner of Celebrity Coin Laundry noticed that six washing machines had been vandalized and money stolen from the coin boxes. The owner believed that approximately $100 in change was missing from the machines. The owner also noticed damage and money was missing from two vending machines and a video game. After reviewing the security footage it was determined that the person responsible for the incident was James Wishon.

On 10/08/19 James Wishon obtained blank checks that belonged to another person. Wishon forged the victim’s name on the checks and cashed them at a local store.

On 10/10/19 the victim allowed James Wishon to come visit him. When the victim left the living room, Wishon took his keys off of the table and took the victims vehicle without his permission.

Wishon was arrested in Hamblen County and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Where he is being held in lieu of a $22,500 bond.  An arraignment was scheduled for 11/28/19 at 9:30 am in Washington County General Sessions Court.
