On 11/27/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Nicole A. Morefield, 37 years of age, of 110 Meadowbrook Drive, Unicoi, TN, and charged her with Theft of Property over $1,000. The arrest was the result of an investigation by asset protection officers with Walgreen’s who discovered a large quantity of 7.5 mg and 10 mg Lortab tablets missing from the business located at 1430 S. Roan Street.
The investigation revealed that Ms. Morefield, who was an employee of Walgreen’s at the time of the thefts, had stolen tablets totaling approximately $1,850 in value over the course of several weeks. Ms. Morefield was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she was being held in lieu of a $250 bond. She is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court to be arraigned on 12/02/19 at 1330 hours.
