On 11/25/19, Investigators with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Crystal Cozad, 47 years of age, of 660 Jena Beth Drive, Elizabethton, and charged her with Theft of Property over $2,500.
The arrest stems from an investigation into the theft of a 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer. The victim had allowed Ms. Cozad, a former roommate, to borrow the vehicle for a specified amount of time. Ms. Cozad failed to return the vehicle within the allotted time. The vehicle was recovered at an auto repair shop in Hampton on 11/21/19.
Ms. Cozad is being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $1,500 bond. She is scheduled for arraignment in General Sessions Court on 11/26/19 at 1:00 pm.
