On 11/10/19, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Richard Aldridge (2200 E 7th Avenue, Johnson City, TN, 38 years old) charging him with Arson.
On 11/10/19 at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to 2200 E 7th Avenue with the Johnson City Fire Department on a house fire at 2200 E 7th Avenue Johnson City, TN. Upon arrival officers made contact with Richard Aldridge standing in the driveway. During the investigation Richard Aldridge said that he set the fire by pouring gasoline on clothing in a bedroom and also poured gasoline on the kitchen floor. Aldridge rents the residence at 2200 E 7th Ave.
Richard Aldridge was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 11/12/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
