On 10/17/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Duane Yeager (936 Simerly Creek Rd, Hampton, TN, 52 years old) and charged him with Theft of Fuel Over $1000, Theft of Property Over $1000, and Vandalism Under $1000.
On 08/31/19, a Dodge pickup truck pulled into the gas station at 3730 Bristol Hwy after hours. The truck parked beside the refueling caps. The suspect then got out of the vehicle. He noticed the security camera and proceeded to knock it down. When the store manager opened the store, it was noticed that they were missing approximately 500 gallons of gasoline.
On 09/09/19, a Dodge pickup truck pulled onto the property of Lighting Resource at 128 LP Auer Rd. The suspect exited the vehicle and was seen walking around the Freightliner trucks. When the victim arrived at work the next morning, he realized that the batteries from 4 trucks were missing.
Duane Yeager was identified as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained for his arrest.
On 10/17/19, Duane Yeager was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $4,000 bond. Arraignment was set for 9:30 am on 10/18/19 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
