On 10/16/2019, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Erika Counts (102 Gilley Ave, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, 34 years old) and Enjoli Turner (102 Gilley Ave, Big Stone Gap, Virginia, 35 years old) and charged them with being Fugitives from Justice.
At approximately 11:45 P.M., officers responded to the Baymont Inn for a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with Ms. Counts in her hotel room. Further investigation revealed that she has outstanding warrants for her arrest from Wise County Sheriff’s Office in Wise County, Virginia for a Failure to Appear in court for a shoplifting charge. While investigating the domestic disturbance, officers also located Enjoli Turner hiding from officers in the bathtub of the hotel room she was sharing with Ms. Counts. She was found to have an outstanding warrant from Wise County, Virginia for a Violation of Probation.
Officers arrested both Erika Counts and Enjoli Turner and transported them to the Washington County Detention Center, where they are each being held pending a bond hearing. Arraignment is set for Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
