On 9/13/19, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Gary Barnard (29, 517 Stanley Ave.) on charges related to a domestic assault and vehicle theft.
Officers responded to 517 Stanley Ave. on a domestic disturbance call. Prior to their arrival, Barnard had assaulted two other residents of the home and had taken one victim’s vehicle without consent, along with several other of her possessions.
Later on 9/13/19, officers located Barnard and the vehicle and he was arrested and booked into Washington County Detention Center on charges of Theft Over $1,000 (Motor Vehicle), Theft Under $1,000 and two counts of Simple Assault Domestic. Barnard is being held under a $13,000 bond with arraignment scheduled for 9/16/19 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court.
