On 02/16/19, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jimmy L Jordan (381 Possum Hollow Rd. Gray, TN., 40 years old) charging him with Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to Deliver/Sell, Possessing a Firearm during Commission/Attempt to Commit Dangerous Felony, Resisting Stop/Arrest, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespass by Motor Vehicle.
At approximately 6:52 p.m., officers observed a motorcycle driving upon the Tweetsie Trail and initiated a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, officers were notified that Mr. Jordan had an active arrest warrant issued by Washington County for violation of probation. As officers attempted to take Mr. Jordan into custody, he pulled away, then physically tried to prevent officers from placing him in handcuffs. Subsequent to his arrest, officers found him to be in possession of a handgun, a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, numerous small baggies, a glass pipe, and a scale.
Jordan was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $23,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 02/29/19 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
