On 11/29/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Evan Bales (4355 McCarty Hollow Rd, Telford, 29 years old) and charged him with 1 count of Felony Evading Arrest, 1 Misdemeanor Felony Evading Arrest, 1 count Leaving the Scene of an Accident and 1 count of Reckless Endangerment.
At approximately 1:00p.m., the Johnson City Police Department received information that Mr. Bales had county warrants and would be in the city for an appointment. Officers located Mr. Bales in a red PT Cruiser in the parking lot of 325 N State of Franklin Rd. After Mr. Bales fled from a traffic stop from this location, his vehicle was located on McKinley Rd. It was discovered that Mr. Bales had crashed the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. After a search of the area, responding officers located Mr. Bales and placed him arrest.
Mr Bales was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 10/30/18 at 10:30 am in Washington County Sessions Court.
