On 10/8/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeffrey M Fanning, 27 years of age, of 610 Old Union Rd, Church Hill TN, on an arrest warrant from Gate City, VA for Violation of Probation. He was charged with Fugitive from Justice for Crime in Another State.
The arrest stemmed from an incident in which Mr. Fanning called 911 after experiencing hallucinations brought on by methamphetamine use. During that contact he was checked for arrest warrants and NCIC showed him to be wanted by Gate City, VA. He was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center, and after being medically cleared, he was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on 10/9/18 to be arraigned.
