On 7/27/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Davian Smalls (35 years old, of Johnson City) on a warrant charging him with especially aggravated robbery. Additional drug charges were placed after the warrant was served.
In May 2018, an armed robbery was reported in which a female victim was robbed at gunpoint. During the robbery, the suspect struck the victim in the head several times with the handgun. During the investigation, Davian Smalls was identified as the suspect.
Investigators located and served the arrest warrant on Smalls on 7/27/18. During the arrest, Smalls was found to be in possession of quantities of crack cocaine, marijuana, and various pills. He was additionally charged with possession of crack cocaine for resale, two counts of simple possession of Schedule IV drugs, simple possession of Schedule VI drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are kept or sold.
Smalls was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he was being held in lieu of a combined $74,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County General Sessions Court on 7/30/18 at 9:00 a.m.
