On 04/16/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 38-year-old James Henderson, 170 Dave Buck Rd. Apt. 53, and charged him with domestic aggravated assault and interference with a 911 call.
The arrest occurred after officers responded to 2105 Lauderdale Dr. in reference to a domestic disturbance. An investigation into the matter revealed Mr. Henderson and a juvenile had gotten into an argument. During that argument, Mr. Henderson put the 15-year-old juvenile in a “choke hold,” and cut off the juvenile’s airway to the point he was unable to breath for a short time. Another family member saw what was occurring and intervened. The family member attempted to call 911 for law enforcement response, but the phone was taken by Mr. Henderson and another subject, which prevented the 911 call. The family member was eventually able to obtain the phone and call police.
Mr. Henderson was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently being held in lieu of a $26,000 bond. The arraignment is set for 04/17/18, 1:30 pm, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
