On Tuesday, 1/2/18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Antonio M. Harvey (29 years old, 705 E. Fairview Ave, Johnson City) on charges of: Possessing a firearm during commission/attempt to commit dangerous felony, Possessing prohibited weapons, three counts of Manufacture/Delivery/Sell of a Controlled Substance (Schedule II, III, and VI), Possession/Delivery/Sell of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on Revoked License 4th offense, and a Light Law Violation.

On 1/2/18 at approximately 3:44 am, an officer observed a vehicle with a brake light not functioning and initiated a traffic stop.  Investigation revealed the driver, Mr. Harvey, was driving on a revoked driver's license, with three prior convictions for driving on revoked.  He was placed into custody, and a search of his person revealed a large amount of cash, two syringes, and a baggie of a green leafy substance appearing to be marijuana.  Also found was a box with four separate illicit drugs: Suboxone, Buprenorphine, a crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine, and a white rock substance consistent with crack cocaine.  A search of the vehicle revealed a pistol and a homemade sawed-off shotgun, four scales, two cellphones, and a bag containing three other baggies of marijuana with a total weight of 33.6 grams.  Based upon the amounts and types of drugs, weapons, phones, and cash, Defendant Antonio Harvey was charged with Possessing a firearm during commission/attempt to commit dangerous felony (drug sales), Possessing a prohibited weapon, three counts of Manufacture/Delivery/Sell of a Controlled Substance (Schedule II (Crack Cocaine), Schedule III (Suboxone and Buprenorphine), and Schedule VI (Marijuana)), Possession/Delivery/Sell of Methamphetamine (Schedule II), Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on Revoked License 4th offense, and a Light Law Violation. 

Mr. Harvey was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $62,000 bond.  Arraignment is set for 1:30 pm on 1/3/18 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
