On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, the Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation into two robberies occurring in the early morning hours at two Johnson City convenience stores. The robberies occurred at the Roadrunner Markets located at 527 Princeton Road, Johnson City and 2607 S. Roan Street, Johnson City.
The first robbery occurred at approximately 1:26 a.m. at the Princeton Road location. In this incident, a male, dressed in camouflage hat, bandanna, tan shirt and tan colored cargo shorts entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded money from the register. After obtaining the money, the suspect fled the store on foot. The second robbery occurred at approximately 5:52 a.m. at the South Roan Street location when a male subject, dressed in a camouflage hat, bandanna, dark colored shirt and tan cargo shorts entered the store and demanded money from the register. The suspect in both robberies appears to be the same person.
