On 10/1/2017 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested John Miller, 37 years old, 302 Princeton Road, Johnson City, and Ashley Watson, 23 years old, 302 Princeton Road, Johnson City. On 10/1/2017 officers located a stolen vehicle parked at Princeton Greens Apartments, 302 Princeton Rd. Investigation into the stolen vehicle led officers to an apartment occupied by John Miller. An arrest warrant was obtained for Mr. Miller for the theft of the automobile. On the same day, officers executed a search warrant at his residence in an attempt to take him into custody. When officers made entry into his apartment, one of the residents, Ashley Watson told them that she did not know who John Miller was and that he was not present in the apartment. Mr. Miller was found to be hiding in the attic and refused to surrender to officers. A K-9 unit was deployed to assist with the arrest and Mr. Miller was eventually taken into custody. Officers also found narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the apartment. John Miller was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center on charges of possession of stolen property over $10,000, resisting arrest, simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held $8,000 bond. Ashley Watson was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center on charges of false reporting. She is being held on a $5,000 bond. Both individuals are scheduled to be arraigned on their charges on 10/2/2017 at 1:30 PM in Washington County Sessions Court.
