On 06/22/17, at 2:27 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 45 year old Crystal Ann Webster, 449 Eastley Ct. Kingsport, TN, charging her with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Over $10,000), Driving Under the Influence (2nd offense), Resisting Arrest, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
The arrest occurred after officers were dispatched to the area of N. Roan St and Boones Creek Rd. in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the suspect vehicle sitting at the Gray Station Baptist Church, 5107 N. Roan St. with its lights on and engine running. A female, matching the description given by the 911 caller, appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat. She was later identified as Ms. Webster. Johnson City Police Officers spoke with Ms. Webster and it was determined she was possibly under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Ms. Webster refused to take a series of standardized field sobriety tests to determine her level of intoxication. A check of the vehicle’s identification number (VIN) revealed that it had been reported stolen from Greene County, TN. A search of the vehicle revealed Ms. Webster had several different prescription pills in an unmarked bottle.
Ms. Webster was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is currently being held without bond. An arraignment is set for 06/23/17, at 10:30 a.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
