On Thursday, June 7, 2017, at approximately 7:15 pm, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jana Wheeler, 46 years of age, 464 Sand Bar Rd, Bristol, TN, and Michael Hawk, 48 years of age, 528 Offield Hollow Rd, Bristol, TN on the charges of Possession Schedule II for Resale, Simple Possession/Casual Exchange (Schedule VI), Criminal Impersonation and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. These arrests stemmed from a shoplifting investigation at Tractor Supply, 4534 Bristol Hwy. During the course of the investigation, the subjects were found to have approximately four grams of methamphetamine packaged for resale, miscellaneous items of drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation charges in an attempt to avoid arrests on outstanding warrants. Wheeler and Hawk were then arrested and transported to the Sullivan County Detention Center where they are awaiting arraignment.
