On June 5, 2017, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 29 year old Jeremy D. Roberts, 119 Vip Rd., Johnson City, and charged him with Possession of Methamphetamine, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a 911 call that was received at approximately 2:25 a.m. reporting suspicious people were walking around an apartment complex near parked vehicles. When officers arrived, they noticed two males, including Mr. Roberts, leaning into a car with an open window that was being occupied by a white female. Officers observed Mr. Roberts holding an unmarked white pill case. Further investigation revealed the pill case contained approximately 0.5 grams of a white powdery crystal that tested positive for Methamphetamine, 0.5 grams of Marijuana, and a Hydrocodone and Clonazepam pill.
Mr. Roberts was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $12,000 bond. An arraignment is set for June 6, 2017, 9:00 am, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
