On 3/21/17, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Sharon Ann Rollins (210 Broyles Dr., 47 years old) and charged her with (3 cts.) forgery, (2 cts.) theft under $1,000 and possession of stolen property under $1,000.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation that began with checks that were stolen from the victim’s vehicle on 3/13/17. On 3/21/17, police were notified by bank employees of Rollins trying to cash one of the victim’s checks that had been taken from his car. Rollins was taken into custody at the bank. During the course of the investigation, it was determined a total of three checks were fraudulently written to Rollins from the victim’s checking account.
On 3/21/17, Rollins was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of an $18,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 3/22/17 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
