On 03/19/2017, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeffery Mercer, 1825 Carroll Creek Road, Gray, Tennessee, 40 years old, and charged him with one count of Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
On 01/30/2017 at approximately 7:40 am, officers responded to 2222 Eddie Williams Road where Jeffery Mercer was observed driving recklessly through the parking lot of the business in his blue 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and attempted to run over his girlfriend. Several employees at the business came outside and witnessed the incident. Before officers could arrive, Mercer had fled the scene. A warrant was obtained for the charge of Aggravated Assault (Domestic).
On 03/19/2017 at approximately 8:45 am, Mercer was located at the Johnson Inn and subsequently transported the Washington County Detention Center on those charges where he was being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond. His arraignment hearing for these charges is set for 1:30 p.m. on 03/20/2017 in Washington County’s General Sessions Court.
