On 2/8/17, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Brandon Curtis (251 Matson Rd, Jonesborough, TN, 30 years old) and charged him with forgery under $500 and 9 counts of identity theft under $500.
On 12/26/16, the victim reported that someone had used his bank account information to make purchases online through Amazon. During the investigation, a forged check was also discovered. Records from Amazon.com showed that the items purchased were shipped to the home of Brandon Curtis. The forged check was also written to Brandon Curtis. Brandon Curtis worked in the victim’s home as a care giver.
Brandon Curtis was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 2/9/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
