On 02/07/17, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeremy D. Combs (2214 N. Greenwood Dr. , Johnson City, Tn., 44 years old) and he was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Felony Possession of Marijuana for Resale, Simple Possession of Schedule III, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. At approximately 12:06 am, officers conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup for a traffic infraction. During conversation with the driver, officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers spoke with the driver of the truck and a search was conducted. Prior to the search officers asked if anything belonged to one of the passengers who was identified as Jeremy Combs. Combs advised there was a black bag that belonged to him and he refused consent to allow officers to search it. Officers then utilized their narcotics dog which gave an alert on the bag. Officers then searched the bag and found a felony amount of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Officers also located a bag of prescription pills in a small baggie, a glass pipe, a black digital scale, and a large sum of US currency, which was seized. Mr. Combs was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $22,000 bail. Arraignment is scheduled for today, Tuesday the 7th at 1:30 p.m., in Washington County General Sessions Court.
