On 04/21/13 at approximately 4:00pm, officers responded to JC Penny, 2011 N. Roan Street, Johnson City, TN to investigate a report of theft. Upon arrival, officers met with asset protection employees who stated that three individuals attempted to take $860.99 worth of merchandise and leave the store without paying.
Further investigation revealed, Ashlyn York, age 18, 541 Redwood Street, Mount Carmel, TN, Audrey Cashon, age 18, 98 Sunset Meadows Court, Gray, TN, and a juvenile took several items of merchandise into a changing room, concealed the items, and attempted to leave the store without paying.
All three were charged with theft over $500.00. Ms. York and Ms. Cashon are to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on May 6, 2013 at 1:30pm. The juvenile is to appear in Johnson City Juvenile court on a different date.
