On 11/9/2016, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Angie Carmack (125 W. Main St., Johnson City, TN; 41 years old) and charged her with 2 counts of driving on a revoked license, 2 counts of reckless driving, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, 2 counts of felony evading arrest, and shoplifting.
At approximately 5:00 pm, officers responded to 2915 W. Market St. (Walmart) in reference to a shoplifting in progress. Officers arrived on scene as Carmack was fleeing in a vehicle. She fled from 2 attempted traffic stops, caused a minor traffic collision, and attempted to evade police by driving on the wrong side of the road and at a high rate of speed, posing a threat to the safety of all motorists in the vicinity. She was eventually apprehended by Washington County Deputies, who have additional charges on Carmack.
Police arrested Carmack and transported her to the Washington County Detention Center, where she was held on a cumulative bond of $104,000. Arraignment was set for 1:30 pm on 11/10/2016 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
