On 8/18/16, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Victoria McGhee (120 JC Circle, Mooresville NC., 37 years old) and charged her with theft of property over $60,000, and Tammy Collen (1603 Old Wilksboro Road, Statesville, NC., 55 years old) and charged her with accessory after the fact for theft of property over $60,000.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to Gregory Isbell Jewelry, 214 E. Mountcastle Dr., in reference to a reported theft of property from the business. A female subject came into the business and asked to see two diamond rings. While the female subject had the rings, she ran from store and got in the passenger side of a SUV that was waiting for her.

Police located the suspect vehicle on I-26 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle used to flee the area after the theft was Tammy Collen. The passenger, Victoria McGhee, was identified as being the female who came into Gregory Isbell and ran out with the two rings. The stolen property was later recovered from McGhee.

Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where each are being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 9:00 a.m. on 8/22/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
