On 05/22/2016, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested David C Bradshaw (208 Pioneer Ave, 37 years old) and charged him with Felony Shoplifting and Possession Of Schedule Drugs Without a Prescription. At 8:39 a.m. officers responded to Wal-Mart Super Center, 3111 Browns Mill Road, where loss prevention personnel observed Bradshaw concealing merchandise into a backpack, then taking a bicycle from the store. Bradshaw exited the store passing all points of sale without rendering payment. The total of the merchandise taken was $610. Mr. Bradshaw was last seen by store personnel riding the bicycle through the parking lot towards N State of Franklin Rd. Arriving officers observed a white male matching the description provided, near the Murphy USA fuel pumps with a bicycle lying beside him. Mr. Bradshaw was positively identified and taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, three Gabapentin pills and one Suboxone pill were located on his person, for which he did not have a valid prescription. Bradshaw was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $6,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 05/23/2016 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
