On 7/27/2013, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joesphine C. Carter (1507 Cherokee Rd. Apt 2, 44 years old) and charged her with Domestic Aggravated Assault.
At approximately 10:38 p.m., officers responded to the victim’s apartment in reference to an assault. Upon officers’ arrival, a male was observed outside bleeding from the neck. The male was identified as the victim and he advised officers that Ms. Carter had thrown a drinking glass at him during an altercation. The victim had a laceration to the neck and had extensive bleeding. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. It was discovered that a broken glass had lacerated the victim’s neck.
Ms. Joesphine Carter was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail. The arraignment is set for 1:45 p.m. on 7/29/2013, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
