On 04/20/16, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Phillip Jeffrey Lunsford (55 years old, 814 Canterbury Rd.) and charged him with Auto Burglary and Theft Under $500.
The arrest comes as a result of an investigation into a report filed on 3/30/16 by an employee of the Dawn of Hope; wherein, property was reported taken from a box truck at their facility located on Eddie Williams Rd. in Johnson City. The suspect’s tag information was obtained as he left the parking lot, which aided in leading to Lunsford’s identification and arrest.
Lunsford was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $6,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 4/21/16 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
