On 7/23/13, officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Bridget N. Clay, 811 N. North St., Johnson City, TN, 20 years old and charged her with Forgery under $500 (cts.) and Credit
Card Fraud under $500. At approximately 11:00 a.m. on 7/11/13, the victim came to Police HQ and advised that on 7/9/13 someone had obtained a credit card, jointly owned by him and his wife, and
used it 8 different times in Johnson City. The suspect also signed the victim’s name to some of the receipts. Through investigation, Mrs. Clay was developed as a suspect. She was interviewed and
admitted to using the credit card and forging the victim’s name on the receipts. Mrs. Clay was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington Co. Detention Center, where she is being held
in lieu of a $4,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 7/25/13 in Washington Co. Sessions Court.
