On 07/23/13 , Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Danial Whaley, 35, who resides at 161 Sheets Hollow Rd, and charged him with being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Weapon.
At approximately 12:00 A.M. Officers observed a suspicious vehicles located at 250 W. Main St. Upon further investigation, Officers made contact with the owner of one of the vehicles, later identified as Danial Whaley. Upon questioning Mr. Whaley, he advised officers that he was a convicted felon. Ammunition was observed in the seat of the vehicle and Mr. Whaley was placed under arrest for being in possession of ammunition, as he was the registered owner of the vehicle. Upon further searching the vehicle a Smith and Wesson pistol was located under the driver’s side seat. Mr. Whaley was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 P.M. on 07/23/13 in Washington County General sessions Court.
