On 2/26/16, the Johnson City Police Department arrest Stephanie Nicole Street (1700 Dave Buck Road Apt. 63, 29 years old) and charged her with (9 cts.) forgery over $500, (2 cts.) forgery under $500, and theft of property over $1,000.
On 1/14/16, officers responded to the Jenny Lea Academy, 222 E. Unaka Ave., in reference to a report where multiple business checks had been forged and cashed. Also reported stolen were several payments that had been made by clients of the business. Stephanie Nicole Street was an employee at the Jenny Lea Academy, and was in charge of getting client payments ready for deposit. Street was found to have written multiple business checks to herself, and then took them to the bank to cash them.
On 2/26/16, Street was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of a $57,000 bond. Arraignment is set for 2/26/16 at 9:00 a.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
