January 09, 2016 at approx. 9:00 pm, Officers of the Johnson City Police Dept. arrested 34 year old Michelle P Bauman, 106 Hickory Hollow Dr., Oak Ridge TN after she crashed her vehicle into the rear of another car then fled the scene. Ms. Bauman’s five year old child was a passenger in the vehicle that was involved in the crash. Ms. Bauman was located a short time later and she appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Due to the fact that she was driving under the influence of an intoxicant, Ms. Bauman was charged with Felony Reckless Endangerment, DUI 1st offense, Leaving the Scene of a Crash and Driving on a Suspended Drivers’ license. She is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on January 11, 2016 at 1:30 pm. Ms. Bauman is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $7000 bond.
