On 7/18/13, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Joshua Gergish, 1206 Flora Ave., 30, on an outstanding warrant for coercion of a witness.
The warrant for Joshua Gergish was issued in relation to a homicide investigation that began on 4/3/13. Marcus Gergish, who is the brother of Joshua Gergish, was arrested and charged with murder in the case. Several witnesses to the homicide have come forward and are instrumental in the ongoing investigation. One of the witnesses has reported on three separate occasions that Joshua Gergish has made threatening comments and gestures to her and her family regarding her cooperation in the case.
Police arrested Joshua Gergish on Thursday night on unrelated offenses. Officers were familiar with the outstanding coercion warrant. Joshua Gergish was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $30,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 10:30 a.m. on 7/19/13 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
