On 7/16/13, at 4:15 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to the intersection of Knob Creek Rd. and Peachtree St. to investigate a vehicle crash.
One of the drivers, Ronnie L. Gobble, 49 yrs old, 612 Maple St., Elizabethton, TN, was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment but succumbed to injuries he sustained in the crash.
The other driver, Charles Miller, 84 yrs old, 430 Peachtree St. Johnson City, TN, was transported to the VA Medical Center for treatment of apparent non-life threatening injuries.
The initial investigation showed no involvement of alcohol or drugs. The investigation is ongoing by the Johnson City Police Department’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team.
