On 06/27/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested 34 year old James E. Southerland, 138 Fairhaven Rd, Johnson City, TN, and charged him with Vandalism over $1,000, Burglary, and Theft of Property under $500. The arrest stems from an investigation into a suspicious person at 2532 Watauga Rd. Officers found Southerland on the property where damage was found to the building. A generator room had been entered and damage was found inside to an electrical box. Numerous items had been removed from that room and from behind the building. Southerland is being held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on Monday June 29, 2015, at 1:30 pm in Washington County General Sessions Court.
