On 6/26/15, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Brandon L Wall, 1503 E Chilhowie Ave., Johnson City, TN, 34 years old. He was charged with Schedule II Drug Violations, Simple Possession of Schedule IV and VI, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, and Failure to Illuminate Plates.
At approximately 3:13 a.m., an officer was on patrol when a vehicle was observed traveling on W State of Franklin Rd with its license plate not illuminated. The officer conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle stopped on Lyle St. When the officer approached the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A consented search of the vehicle was conducted and a large amount of crack cocaine was located along with prescription pills and marijuana. When Mr. Wall was questioned about the findings, he fled on foot in an effort to evade arrest. After a brief foot pursuit, Wall picked up a wooden bench in an effort to strike the officer. The officer deployed his Taser and Wall was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Mr. Wall was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $13,000.00 bond. Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 6/29/15, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
