On 06/21/2015 at approximately 1948 hours officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Tiegra S Willams, 26 yoa, of 316 Hamilton St, Johnson City, TN charging her with aggravated assault. Officers responded to 316 Hamilton St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim, Tiegra’s cousin, who stated that she had been in a verbal argument that turned physical with her cousin. She stated Tiegra started to punch her and then grabbed her by the throat momentarily choking her. The victim was able to leave and call 911 from the neighbor’s house.
The suspect was located outside the residence placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where they were being held in lieu of a 50,000 bond. The suspect is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on 06/22/15 at 1330 hours to be arraigned.
