On Tuesday, 05/26/15 at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Michael Metcalf, 35 years of age, of 2701 S. Roan Street, Lot 6, Johnson City, TN. The arrest occurred after officers responded to 2717 S. Roan Street, Lot 6, to investigate a report that a subject had assaulted a female and then threatened a witness with a knife. The suspect, Mr. Metcalf, was located at another residence where he had barricaded himself in the bathroom and was refusing to exit. After repeated requests asking Mr. Metcalf to exit the residence were unsuccessful, officers made entry into the residence and took Mr. Metcalf into custody. Mr. Metcalf was charged with Aggravated Burglary, Simple Assault Domestic, and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Metcalf was also found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest for Theft of Property over $500, Theft of Property under $500, and Vandalism under $500. Mr. Metcalf was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. to be arraigned.
